DESCRIPTION
Penebar SW-45 Rapid is a unique sealing compound designed to expand rapidly when exposed to moisture making it a self-healing joint material for construction joint applications.

Typical Applications for Penebar SW-45 Rapid include building foundations, slabs, retaining walls, storage tanks, and similar non-moving cold construction joints.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Application:
How to apply Penebar SW-45 Rapid on poured-in-place construction joints:
1. Carefully brush off all dust and debris and apply a coat of appropriate Penebar Primer to the area where the Penebar SW-45 Rapid is to be placed.
2. Using the heel of the hand and moderate pressure, press a continuous bead of  Penebar SW-45 Rapid firmly into position. Check to be certain that the sealant has bonded to the primed area.
3. Splicing the ends to form a continuous, uninterrupted
seal. For the best results, cut each end at an opposite 45°
angles and position the cut ends together. Gently kneed the spliced ends creating an uninterrupted seal.
4. Peel the protective backing from the exposed side of the Penebar SW-45 Rapid .
5. Pour the mating structural member into position.

 Application Notes
♦ Always use Penebar Primer to avoid displacement of the Penebar SW-45 Rapid during concrete pouring. It may be necessary to utilize masonry nails or other
mechanical means to hold the sealant in place on vertical surfaces.
♦ Place Penebar SW-45 Rapid so that it is no closer than 2” (5 cm) away from the outer surface of poured structure.
If a Keyway is utilized, place the Penebar SW-45 Rapid into the bottom of the formed Keyway area.
